Abstract:Under the background that China is comprehensively deepening reforms and Chinese economy enters a “new normal,” it is time that China should speed up the development of logistics industry.When designing new policies for the industry, the focal point should rest on how to strengthen reforms on commodity circulation by ridding the industry of unnecessary costs caused by the old system, which can reduce the operating cost of enterprises.In the short term, we should put the emphasis on the reduction of transportation costs, while in the long run, we need to cut down inventory costs.In addition, we should put more efforts in exploring and promoting cold chains, which are a critical link to logistics and essential to food safety and people‘s wellbeing.When making particular policies, we should make sure the priority is to address long-term maladies in logistics industry and avoid making mediocre policies without highlight.Besides, we should refine and streamline a set of indexes regarding energy consumption, efficiency and quality.In this way, we can transform and upgrade the logistics industry.
