ZHOU Ye’an,etc：Group Leader and Individual Leader ——An Experimental Study of Public Goods Game

Abstract：Group leader and individual leader, which one is superior? The discussion of this topic has both considerable realistic and theoretical meaning.This paper investigates the topic by leading-by-example under the framework of standard liner public goods game.Through the comparison of contribution and belief behaviors of individual leaders and group leaders, and the contribution behavior of followers, we find that individual leader is superior to group leader for the contributions of public goods.Our findings have some implications for the organization design and management issues in reality.
