CAI Guowe,etc:Organization Management Structure,Government Public Service and Private Enterprises' Transformation and Upgrading

Abstract：With the gradual disappearance of “demographic dividend”,the excessive consumption of natural resources and serious damage of ecological environment,transformation and upgrading becomes the only way for sustainable development of private enterprises.Based on Chinese Private Enterprise Upgrading and Competitiveness Survey Data,this paper investigates the determinants of private enterprises' transformation and upgrading.We find that the organization management structure and government public service have significant effects on the transformation and upgrading.The optimization of the organization management structure,including organization structure,capital structure,management mode,decision mode,and management equity incentives,reflects the shift to a modern corporate management mode and plays a significant role in promoting enterprises' transformation and upgrading.The improvement of the quality of government public service can promote the enterprises' transformation and upgrading in multiple ways.In addition,the expansion of the market scale,especially the expansion of the overseas market,is conducive to transformation and upgrading.Government subsidies,firm size and entrepreneur education level are positively correlated with the enterprises' transformation and upgrading.The conclusions are robust,and we propose some policy suggestions accordingly.
