QI Junyan, SUN Qian:Comparative Analysis on Trade Effect of Chinese Passive and Active Anti-dumping

Abstract：Using the anti-dumping index (ADI) data of foreign anti-dumping against China and Chinese anti-dumping protection from 1995 to 2012, this paper conducts comparative analysis. Besides, this paper estimates the effect of anti-dumping on the Chinese total export by constructing a multivariate linear model. We find that anti-dumping cases against China can improve Chinese industrial upgrading and promote export of high value-added goods. Whats more, this paper analyzes different effects of anti-dumping on different technical contents export according to the classification of Lall(2000). Finally, we suggest that anti-dumping trade policy should emphasize on enhancing export competitiveness.
