Abstract: Accompanied by the growth of economy and industrialization, negative impact of environmental pollution has got widespread concern in recent years. For dissolving contradiction between economic growth and environmental protection, this paper, based on the policies such as financial investment, sewage charges levy, environmental governance project, examined the efficiency of environment policy with provincial data of environmental pollution from 1998 to 2011. The result shows that there’re still deficiencies of environment policy in China. Furthermore, financial investment effect of local government is superior to that of central government through comparative analysis, but environmental investment is more targeted.
